I've heard that you can get an external CD drive with a SCSI connection. Is this true and can I use it with my MPC2000?

I'm assuming that if it's a CD ROM, I can use it to load files into the MPC but couldn't save to it.

Is there such thing as a writable CD drive with a SCSI connection?????

I have had a couple of ZIP drives and had problems with both of them. Are they know for giving headaches or am I doing shit wrong?

Just use a stand alone cdrw audio recorder, burn via rca/digital coax in's.

"I have had a couple of ZIP drives and had problems with both of them. Are they know for giving headaches or am I doing **** wrong?"

Yes, Fry's has stand alone CDRW audio recorders, Guitar Center might have them also.
