Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi!
been messing with the xl for a while but there is one i have trouble figuring out.
so i made my program, saved the aps. file but then realised i need some more samples. how do i add samples to an existing program?
sorry for the newbie question.

You just load them, or sample them, and then in the program-edit-screen (shift+6) you assign them to the pad. It‘s real simple process.
Hit the pad, scroll to the sound you want.
Don‘t forget to save the porgramm/or all programs, once you finished assigning the sounds.

is it really that simple though? if i have loaded a program, the only available sounds are the sounds allready in the program. how do i load new ones?

You load the samples, or sample them.
Then you assign them to a pad, like I wrote before.
It IS that simple.
You, of course, need to save the program, to load the sounds again, after turning the MPC off.
