Problem REinstalling OS!!

Ok i have made an OS disk for the 2000xl downloaded from the Akai site. Now i'm having trouble reinstalling the OS V1.14 because when i turn on my mpc it seems as if the disk is going to load but winds up not loading and automatically opens up the Main screen. After this a whole bunch of numbers come up...what should i do???? what might be the problem?

In the download you got there is a MPC2KXL.BIN file.
That file should be placed in the root directory of the
disk/zip (no folder). Load it the same way as a you
would load a sound/sample.
