MPC2000XL's mixer remote control

I have one simple question:

Can I use a http://www.tascam.com/Products/US-428.html as remote control for the MPC2000XL's internal mixer? So I don't need to do the mixing of my sounds on the LCD-screen.

No ..... I'm pretty sure this just sends controller info via USB, not MIDI.
