I have an MPC 2000 and when I try to load my zip drive it just tells me to wait and never pulls it up
Has it worked previously? If it has then possibly the SCSI fuse has blown, this can happen if you attach the drive while the MPC is turned on. This isn't a user replaceable part, needs someone with electronics skills to replace it.
Otherwise it could be that the drive isn't terminated, wrong scsi ID, faulty drive, faulty cable etc.
