I looked at the newbie place and couldnt find anything..hope this is ok to ask:

I looked ALL over the manual btw..I got these sounds that i wanna use and add to a song i did. The Midi board is basically a blank one with no sounds so the sounds i got are in the MPC already and all i wanna do is assign them to the appropiate key of the MIDI board so i can add them to the song.

How do i do that?

Like i said, i stayed up real late to try to make it work, looking int the manual(MPC manual = worst **** german lingo translated book ever! )

so you want to assign 1 sample to each key on your keyboard so you can play them at different notes?

or you want all the samples spread across the keys?

or you want to assign a certain sample to a certain key on the keyboard?

if you want them all spread across the keys it should do that already by itself if you have the keyboard connected right to the mpc. just load up the program and when you press the keys they should trigger the samples.

not sure how you would do the others..

Well i wanna assign 1 sample to one key of the keyboard so i can play some stuff.

Right now i was thinking about sampling each key of the original board where i got the sounds from so i could put them in the MPS and load them into each key but if theres a possibility so i dont have to sample each sound of the original keyboard let me know.

I know you can pitch a sample but then it would loose the length speed of the sample...

Any thoughts?
