CF Card issue

Peace.....I recently pulled the 2KXL out to track out old beats. Sometimes the CF cards can be recognized, sometimes they can't. I hooked up a separate usb cf card reader to my Mac mini. The Mac recognized the card as a 2000XL card. I may have pulled it out the reader while the light was blinking. Now, the files are showing with funny spellings. No, programs show up and I get a message saying "unexpected end of file " Is it a wrap for the card ?

you might be able to run a disk check on the card to try and repair it.

I vaguely recall reading somewhere there being an issue with older MPCs and Macintosh OS not getting along? Like it being a big no no trying to do anything on a Mac involving those files basically?
