Sample from Focusrite Audio interface

I have MPC 2000 and am trying to sample from computer through my AI. I know MP for sampling requires unbalanced cable but I only have balanced ones. My problem is I can’t get the sampling start even though the music from computer is playing. I tried both, with and without AI with same results. Could this possibly be cable problem or something else? Thanks in advance!

Try with plugging in the balanced cable only half way on the MPC side, just until you feel the 1st „click“.
