i also had to turn off software monitoring in the asio properties in logic settings and play with my soundcard buffer settings ... all in all it was a pain in the ass, but it just about works now. and i'm getting a new soundcard tomorrow so i'll have to do it all again. yes!

it didnt work, why did you put the instraumennt on the chanel if your running the mpc as your ins. hopefully you can help. i need a little bit more detail on how to hook it up

that's just for the audioinst channels, so that i can use vst's as well as the internal sounds on the mpc eg. drum loop on mpc + keys from evp88 in logic but still being sequenced from the mpc through midi..

sorry, i assumed this was what you were trying to do.. if this is still no help let me know exactly what you are trying to achieve and i'll try to help.

As Nanoloop says, you can save your MPC sequence to disk then transfer it to your computer. Then you can drag it onto Logic's arrange page & it should open up across your Audioinst channels. Alternatively, you can just slave the MPC to Logic & record the MPC's midi data in real time, in the same way you would input midi data to Logic with a keyboard.

You shouldn't need to do anything complicated in the environment page to get a midi track to play an external instrument. You should be able to select one of your midi outputs on the arrange page when you click & hold on the name of a track.
