new to mixers, can i get a little input please

im lookin into getting a mixer, but i dont know whats really good and whats not. i just want this mixer to hook up to my MPC 2000 to make the sounds come out cleaner and EQ the sounds. here are some choices im looking at....

i´d no doubt recommend the mackie! these are just solid quality mixers which sound honest and clear. If ya dont have the cash, get a behringer, they will do(for a while). But dont buy those integrated-fx-mixers, those effects sound crappy-better get an old (used) 19" rack effect unit to it.

Mackie are excellent & really solidly built. Behringer are good, & amazingly cheap, but I'd only go for one if it is going to remain in your studio. If you are going to be playing live you need the estra strength of the Mackie.

Can't go wrong with Mackie.

Behringer mixers are made to fit a budget, and that's reflected in sound and build quality. They offer a lot of features for very little money, and they aren't as bad as some people say, but if you want a good sounding mixer that you'll still enjoy 5 years from now, it pays to invest in something more serious.

I can also recommend the (very cheap) Spirit folio SX which I used to have back in the day. Not as well built as a Mackie, but it does have a nice sound and subjectively warmer EQ.
