MPC Freezes when reading from CF Card, only if used in PC

My 2000XL came with a CF reader instead of floppy disk. Filling up the card in my mac and then loading samples on the MPC makes it crash randomly. When loading a sound, it just stays on the 'loading' screen forever. If I never connect the CF card to the mac, it works without problems

It sucks not to be able to make PGMs and add samples from my mac. Has anyone experienced the same?
