Using mpc 2kxl with bluescsi v2

Hi folks! Firstly, thanks for having me Can anyone give me some advice on how I setup the sd card for use with the mpc and the bluescsi v2 sd card reader. I’m part way there in the sense everything is recognised, but I’m unable to format the card so as the Akai can load /save samples. The partition info is readable, if a little bizarre. The log file that is created on the card says the format isn’t recognised as an apple one by the bluescsi adapter. Thanks in advance Tony

Did you set up the partition structure on the SD card on your computer, or did you just plug in a card and connect it to the XL?

Thanks for the reply. I’ve sorted this now. It was way easier than I was making it! - I’d downloaded and was using some ISOs from boot disk and chill (for the Zulu scsi) they were confusing the issue. I tried to get the moderators to delete my post before it went up Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to reply. Looking forward to playing with the machine over the coming weeks !

Hello, do you have a picture of your bluescsi v2 on your MPC2000xl? Does the bluescsi have a HD50 connector available on one of the pcb's or did you use an adapter? Ty

It's DB25.

So get a DB25 to HD50 adapter or cable.
