Setting up MPC 2000XL as a MIDI controller help

Hey folks,

I just got done setting my pads to trigger Bitwig’s drum machine. On the main screen I’ve set S:MIDI : 1A-Device01 and I’ve assigned them on the [shift]>Program Drum 1 screen as Pad assign:PROGRAM (should that be MASTER?). Note:36 to Note:51 - all 16 pads and that works perfectly fine using a MIDI to USB cable from the early 2000s. My problem is that when I switch the MPC off, I lose all those settings. I’ve tried saving various file types, but I can’t seem to get those settings to save.

Any tips or tricks, or have you spotted something I’ve missed?

I think I figured it out myself, these MIDI settings seem to save in a PGM file. You just have to load the PGM and set S:MIDI : 1A-Device01 on the main screen.
