I have an Akai MPC2000XL that I haven't used for a couple of years. I turned it back on a few days ago, but it keep freezing. No messages or alphanumeric codes appear; it simply doesn't respond to commands. I have to turn it off and on again, and it works for a few seconds before freezing again. I cleaned the electrical contacts, disconnected and reconnected all the cables, ribbons too (after cleaning them), disconnected the CF card reader, the RAM, and the flash ROM adapter. I'll try reinstalling the operating system (v1.2) this evening. After a few seconds of using it, it freezes. Sometimes after 2 seconds, sometimes after 20. What else can I check? thank you
