i got 8 outs and have a question

i have a vestax handy trax that i sample with, can i use the rca inputs from that to sample into the digtal ins . or can i even sample in the digital in? i tried and i t said that it was looking for a digital source

MPC is looking for a digital source meaning that
you are trying to sample an analog line into the
digital ins. Your source is most likely analog.
MPC is searching for a DIGITAL signal.

Can't happen.

On the classic 2000 you can get crashes & freezes if you try sampling from the digital ins without any digital source connected.
