Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By LateArrival101 Sun Dec 19, 2004 3:42 pm
hey guys...

about 50% of the time when my ZIP drive loads up (it's an internal 250), my MPC2000xl gives me this error:

"Error at 0000:BFF2"

so i have to turn it off and on and cross my fingers that it loads up properly, which it does after a couple of tries, but then the same sh*t happens again and again.

can someone PLEASE help?

Is it the same zip disk that gives you this problem, or does it happen with different disks loaded?

It might be a clue as to whether this problem is disk or drive related, although I don't know what the error message means.

I had the same error on my mpc it turned out to be zip drive related and not disk related since the error occured on all my zip disks which btw all read fine on other zip drives.

yeh ive got that problem aswell, just learned to live with it really. What I do is turn my mpc ON about 10 - 15mins before i need to use it (with no Zip disk in the drive) and then after that time you can put the zip disk in no problems.

If you have an extra one why haven't you tried that already?
