MPC2000XL - I know this is the 1000 forum but check this!

the 2000XL's are still alive and kicking strong. I just saw and played with the new 2000xl. Yo this new box has (instead of a internal zip drive or floppy drive) two card slots. One for COMPACT FLASH and the other slot is for smart media and other formats. the price is still the same, roughly around $1699 and the bare box does not come with the 8 outs (you still have to pay for that) One thing I didn't see though was the USB port. You will need an external card reader to transfer files.

so from what I see, the 2000xl isn't going anywhere

It's a shame that the only improvement they made is the drive. They should sell it WITH the effects the 8 out + USB. (and I hate the colour as well )

What are you expecting, it's a 2kxl and nothing more.
