Frozen Mpc 2000

My mpc froze up. And I lost all my work that I was working on.
I was starting to save the samples on to a floppy and I accidently switched the save type From Floppy to SCSI, Which caused it to freeze b/c I dont have a SCSI cable hooked up to it. My question is, Is this normal? Is there any way of unfreezing it without turning it off?


Now I gonna start saving frequently just incase something happens. thanks

Losing unsaved work happens to the best of them. That's how we all learn sometimes--->the hard way. I've learned not to mess with my MPC while it is in the middle of something...whether its saving, loading or playing. Especially when it comes to anything having to do with your harddrive. Just let it be until it gets finished. Since I've adapted this philosophy, I really haven't had many problems. Good luck & sorry for the loss.

On top of that, you need to get off the floppy man. Your life will be 100% more enjoyable once you get past the floppy. Find yourself a zip drive or something. Good luck.

Yeah I def. need to stop using the floppy. I have a zip drive but I have to get the cable for it. Hope this won't happen again.

I once had a freeze up, i clicked the mainscreen button and some others. I waited, and it got warm again - maybe it was just luck.

throw your zip drive in the bin before it kills you. trrrust me.....
they suk big time, better of with floppies...get a godam hard drive!!
