Zoning ....

In the Zone mode I know I can divide one sample into different parts.

Question:

How do I assign those parts to each drum pad ?

Either create a new program when you slice or click shift+6, hit the pad of your choice, go to ASSIGN or whatever and scroll until you come across the sound you want.

one thing I do is I take a garbage sample (no input or just noise) and cut it back to say 000.100.00 in length.

then I take the sample I want to chop up, copy the zone and paste it into the garbage sample.

I then copy that sample and rename it whatever it is, and then delete the .100 ms of noise.

then I delete all but the garbage in the garbage sample and use it again.

there must be an easier way, but this has been pretty quick for me.
