Help 4 new MPC user

Where can I find good bass sounds the AKAI disk that comes with the MPC seems to have only drum sounds

Also when I load a program file, How do I get rid of some sounds and keep others with out loosing all the sounds. When I press "load" ascompared to "CLear" the sounds still get replaced

I believe I'm understanding you right... when you load drum program files, you get a message stating that you are about to replace any existing seq./program information. If you have a whole program of drums loaded and say you only want to keep 3 of those drums, then go into your 'program' menu to the 'assign' function, and turn off all of the drums you don't want on the pads. then choose 'purge'-- which will get rid of the sounds that aren't assigned to pads, but keep the sounds that you DO still have assigned to pads. Then if you want to load some MORE drum sounds into the MPC to work with the 3 existing sounds, you may have to save the drum PROGRAM as a different program number (1 thru 4) than the program number your existing sounds are on. OR, you may have to "de-assign" your 3 existing sounds from the pads (BUT DON'T PURGE THEM) so they're not in any program. THEN go and load another drum program, but then load your 3 sounds back into this program and purge any more sounds you don't want.
