how do you set it up so when you have a sample X blazin away and when ever i use old sample Y it 'mutes' X untill its finished if you know what i mean

click open window, wherer you change the re-trigger params. ie mono, note off, poly. Under that menu you can choose which sounds mute which.

You STILL haven't downloaded a manual, follow my first link in my signature and there is a manual download site link there. Please help yourself to the links cause there is some good stuff in there and it might makes a big difference in your production and work process. It might make things easier for you is what I'm saying. Help me help you out here, you gotta give a little too.
