DECAY DELAY anyone?

hey has anyone noticed sometimes when you set the decay of a sample real long it Delays like echos eventhough you only push it once or is that a special feature only on my MPC

well in perameters were theres the decay when you turn it up ,making the decay time longer, on some samles i use (mostly with samples ranging from 1 -2 second) once the decay gets past a certian point it makes the sample delay and theres no real 'rule' as to how it does this so i was wondering if anyone else has sussed this out cause it would be fuken handy (if i knew how i done it)it has been on afew track is just a random thing that i used to my advantage

What point? What are the actual numbers you are using in that screen?

it depends on the lenght of the sample as to were it starts working usaly past halve the lengh of the sample it does it ,but what im saying is it doesnt do it all the time and im wondering if its somthing ive done by accident some setting or shit

I jsut tried it I didn't get any crazy sounding decay delay or anything. Sorry, I don't know what it is or could be.
