Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I cant figure out how to get the original tempo from a sample. i CHECKED THE PARAMETERS AND ITS NOT IN THERE. cAN SOME ONE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM OR IS IT A DEFECT.

I THOUGHT THE TEMPO WAS SUPPOSED TO APPEAR IN THE PARAMETERS SCREEN. i WANT TO KNOW WHY IT IS NOT HAPPENING

There is a PARAMS in shift 6

and

a PARAMS in the TRIM screen.
Try the TRIM screen or pg 109
XL manual. Did you download
the manual?

yeah i got the manual and if look there is the parameter screen and inside of the parameter screen there i the tempo. my problem is on my mpc for some reason the tempo is not appearing.

check pg 106 AND 107. Don't press DO IT, press BPM and see if it shows up.
the MPC will not just GIVE you a BPM for a sample, you gotta ask it for it.

This is only way I can think of to get it for a loop unless there's another way someone else knows about?

Dont you have to set it as a loop for it to tell you the BPM?
Ive had my 2000xl for like 2 days btw
