SCSI conflict on ID#6 !

I keep getting "SCSI conflict on ID#6 !" when I try to load from my external zip. I have no idea how this happened, it was working just fine last night. (The only thing I can think of is the new memory I just installed. ) When I go to shift+F3 - setup, I tried to choose SCSI-6 as my primary drive, but when I do that , that error keeps coming up. I when to the back of my zip drive and changed it to SCSI-5. I turned off the MPC and then turned it back on and went to shift+F3 - setup, I tried to choose SCSI-5 as my primary drive (becaues I changed it on my drive) and I still get that "SCSI conflict on ID#6 !" ..... Any advice?

Never mind.. I got it..

I didnt know my brother used it last night after I did. The termination switch was off on the zip drive.

I'm having the same problem. I turned the termination switch on, and still had no luck. Could I have it in the wrong scsi port?

That must be it, try plugging it into one of the mpc's other scsi ports.

There's only 1 physical port on the xl. Try a different SCSI ID, 5 or 6. I forget what the xl default is. I've seen it in the manual many times though.

i had that problem, too - my fault, there's one for connection to "host" and another for other avaiable scsi drives on my zip drive - i used the wrong one, after i changed and rebooted all conected devises, everything was alright
