Gun shot samples

anybody got some or know where i can find them. i found a website but when i save them to a disk, they dont play in my mpc, it says "wrong file format", does anyone know if i am saving it wrong or will that not work at all. thanks for the help

After you save them to computer you need to open them in a wave editor and re-save them as 44khz/16bit wav files. They should be fine after that.

Do you have a wave editor? hitsquad.com has alot of freeware, shareware
to browse through.

Try pitching down an 808 hand clap. There was a gunshot sound on the Roland R8 drum machine that was actually done this way.

the files on the web site could be mp3 format.
just get ya favorite gun show on cassette or better yet dvd, and take the audio out from your amp line out and sample some gun shot, wha de bloodcalt ya chat bout fi tek dem affi de blouse and skirts web site datta a madness to rass, and even more so, the quality of them are so awfully terrible, they would no where be clean like if you sample them yur self.

a fire yur own gun and tape tht bloodclat , gun shot fi bus. !!!! if yu wnt to be a purist.

Under file format deselect everything but wave, under minimum resolution
change it to 16 bit, and change the sample rate to 44100 Hz, then in the search box type in what u are looking for and you should get a couple of pages of results. Now in order to save the sample u will need to right click on the speaker icon that you used to play the sample with and select "save target as" and save it on your PC somewhere that you can easily find it later. Hope this helps..

I had a R8 and can wholeheartedly vouch for that statement right there.
I had 4 of the extra rom cards (26 sounds each at $86 dollars each) also, I thought I was THE MAN, what a joke.

when u save to disc in the drop box were it says what file it is open it and save as wav. or PCM file.


get an NWA record and sample gansta gansta or theres afew others on there that got some good gat samples.

I got a couple nice sound effect records from a friend's dad that got all kinds of shit. Marching, tobacco auctions, horses, gun shots, cop sirens. Haven't used em much but they're nice.
