Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I found a really weird bug on the 2kxl. I was working on a beat that had 5 different sequences. I saved them all. When I came back to them the next day, all the tracks had been squished into tracks 1 and 10. I had events recorded on tracks 1 - 13 and it seems like all the midi events are still there, but they've all been consolidated to tracks 1 and 10. This happened on all 5 sequences I saved. Has anyone else seen this?

The beat I was working on was using DRUM1, DRUM2, Midi out 1A, and Midi out 1B, sequencing its own sampler, my ASR-10, and Moog Modular V soft synth.

This seems pretty bizzarre. I'm using OS 1.14 which is the latest according to Akai's website. If it does this to me again, I'm going to sell it and probably get a MV-8000

I'm not surprised no one's responded yet. I used to test software for a living and I always found bugs that no one could reproduce.

Anyways, from now on, I'm using the Save All Songs and Sequences option. I just figured out how that works and it's obviously a superior way of saving beats. when i saw the problem above, i was saving the sequences individually.

I cannot Reproduce what you are saying. I never Save Sequences, only .APS and .ALL - Thats it. 8)
