MPC Dial Repair Info and MCD Kit Info

I emailed vstservice.com concerning a MPC issue I had with the Dial not working correctly and this is the response I got for anyone that is interested with the same problem.

I also wanted to find out if the kit was sold seperately for a DIY job.

"Data encoder switch is bad , approx $75.00 parts and labor to repair. MCD is not available as a kit at this time, we offer free return shipping and 1 day service if you want to send in for the modifacation. (and repair)"

I actually had the same prob with my jog wheel last year! I put into repair at a local musician shop, waited about a month, paid $100 and now it's just like new. I looked over the prob and it seems pretty easy to repair yourself, just contact akai for the rotary knob tho.
