I have just purchased a Roland VS 1680 and all. I'm just confused on how to set this up with my MPC. It came with Digital chords so I assume I can hook it up to the digital on the MPC. My equipment is a MPC 2000xl, EPS 16+ Turbo, Behringer UB2442fxfx-Pro Mixer, and the Roland VS 1680. I have the MPC and EPS midi together and now my thing is I want a simple work station to make beats with and this is where I get confused. Should I Midi the Roland VS 1680 and MPC 2000xl or use the 8 outs and connect it to the VS? Or Connect the MPC to the Mixer and than to the VS. I know this is confusing but help would be great....thanks!!!!

Are you using any software on a computer? How many inputs (digital and analogue) does your mixer have and what exactly is the VS1680? I'm guessing it's a 8 or 16 track digital recorder/mixer?

Let us know and i'll try and help!

The mixer has 13-16 Stereo channels & nothing on analog. I'm trying to keep it simple and someone suggested just having the MPC midi with the EPS and then just out it or midi it to the Roland VS 1680 (Multi-Track), they said sending it through all those parts would hurt the sound.....
