i hooked my mpc up to my triton, is there any way that i can have the pads on the mpc match the keys/notes on the triton? i heard you can make a .pgm for this but how will the pgm work through midi? thanks

Change the note number for each pad, starting with 35 for A1, 36 for A2, etc. No need to change Bank D. Then save this pgm as 'blank.pgm' and load it up anytime you need a program that lines up perfectly with a keyboard.

but if i load up the blank.pgm, how would i control midi with it? wouldn't i have to change the drum1 to MIDI thus not allowing the blank.pgm to work?

or do i leave the blank.pgm on the drum but change the DRUM1 to device-01, device-02 and corresponding?

If you just want to control the internal MPC samples from a keyboard, then leave everything set to DRUM and you'll be fine.

You only need to set the Track to MIDI when you want that particular track's note events to trigger sounds off an external sound source.
