SCSI HD inside mpc2000xl

its in finnish but that guy putted his 9gig scsi hd into mpc and did his own start button to the hd so that it doesnt have to be ON allways.. he had to move the screens chipboard to different place to fit it inside. check it out.

now my question is that is it possible to do like that with akai mpc 2000 with hd or zipdrive?

you can fit in internal zip in the mpc2000, i know Roguemusic.com do it for $109 with a 2 day turnarouand time , i sent two there and it works fine, with mpc editor , a zip for your computer, you could transfer your old floppies to zip as easy. Remember zips are fast, but they do have they click of death, so make sure is treated right.

Is that internal 2k zip SCSI? Can you still use your SCSI in the back?
I would think the internal is SCSI.

can anyone explain fully to me the 'click of death' And what it does, and how it happens, and how to prevent it... etc...?????

yes it is internal scsi and i used the external port to, it wont disable it, and i use the usbxchange with this setup, it is possible for the classic 2000 to get rigged up, just takes peeps to fool around with it, and post it.
