mpc 2k xl or mpc 3k routed to a mixer

how can i go about equing each channel on eithr a 2k xl or 3k

with a eurodesk 48/24 mixing board

i want to mix and eq,pan,frequency adjustments etc on the board
and control each channel on the mpc

you can only eq each output of your mpc on a desk. Get an 8 out expansion connect each out to a channel on your desk and you' re ready to go.

so a 3k or 2k xl with 8 out pput expansion will let me eq my tracks?
i thought the mpc's dont come with on board efx if the mixer only has sends and returns how would i acces filters,frequency,pans etc

im using a eurodesk 48/24 channel mixer at the moment

You'll need the 8-outs board to separate sounds onto different channels of your mixer.

You can access the filter from the Program (Shift+6) menu and you can pan in the Mixer (Shift+1).

To get more filter options and frequency options you'll need the FX board.

coo how much does the fx board run?

I heard the FX suck but really it would be best to ge the 8 out expansion and jsut route each track to one of them and then into your mixer

Yeah I recommend the 8-outs first, then get the FX board. The FX aren't that great, but they do come in hand some times. My MPC came with both, but I use the 8-outs a lot more.

i feel you well i orderd the 3k it has the 8 out put already
i was planning on eq ing my drums on the mixer
i guess il have to record in to software and use sumtin like acid pro's or cubase to eq my drums?

No, you can eq them on the mixer just fine. What you'll do is separate the drums onto different channels of the mixer and EQ the highs, mids and lows on the mixer.

thats the specs on the mixer i orderd both mc and mixing board
so i havent seen yet to know
i was told the mx8000 has no on board effects
but i will still be able to manage my highs and lows correct?

Yeah, you'll be fine on the highs and lows.

A few tips for the 8-outs:
1. Sample in mono, this way each sound is assigned to one output. Stereo splits the sound onto two output.
2. You assign the outs from the Mixer screen, the Individual. Use the wheel to assign 1-8 on the outputs.

Use the 2Kxl, but this should get you started on the 3000.
