I cannot get this to work. i have a blank seq and i hit record and i hit sample dump on the ms2000 but it just says wrting and completes. it does not save the data. i did a search on the forums and i still have no idea what to do. If someone could please tell me how to send my patch data to the mpc and then to send it back out it would be appreciated.

check your midi input filter in the mpc, make sure it is receiving sysex.

found it. exlusive should be set to pass? the filter is off. and the one option is PROGRAM CHANGE>SEQ: ON is that right too?

yeah it should pass Sys Ex, the rest, pgm change and all that is not in this application. be sure to only turn it on when you are doing a dump, otherwise your MP will go bonkers recording all the sysex from all your gear, be sure to turn the filter off ater the dump. It only filters incoming data,m so it can transmit with the filter in place, but it will not record unless the filter is set to pass.

Then check in step edit, you should see it.

Also, where did you find it, I tried to find it on a friend's 2k and I got as far as the midi page.

got it!
all i did was make a new track in a new seqs, set it to the same midi channel and set the bpms to 60. then i went into midi sync and had the ms2000 controlling the mpc then went to midi filter and enable the EXCLUSIVE data and then hit play and record. Then it was waitni for the sync i hit edit on the ms2000 then did the dump. then i played it back on the mpc to see if it worked and shazam.
