trim screen?

after i get my sample that i want, when it comes up on the trim screen, it is so small, is there anyway to zoom, cuz i cant get precise trims with it being so daggum small, na mean? holla back!

what i meant was that when the waveform comes up on the trim screen, sorry, can i zoom on that piece?

no one knows, cuz every other time i have seen it, it looks like a normal wave form, but mine the largest part of the wave is so small on the trim screen and you cant even see the rest of it.

maybe you didn't record it loud enough? waveform size is a graph of volume.

i had the rec gain all the way up and the main volume and the volume on my mixer as well? but you could be right, anyone else know?

Only the rec volume controls how loud your recording will be, the main volume is just to control how loud the sound comes out of your speakers. Your problem can be that if your sound source is a turntable, you must be sure that the incoming signal is at "line level" (the signal that comes out of your turntable is at "phono level" and needs to be pre-amplified by using the pre-amp of your mixer for example).

If I'm not mistaken (I'm not in front of my MPC), after sampling the sound and when you moved to the trim screen => push Edit => push Open Window. There you can zoom in/out on your wave form to set for example the start/end points precisely. Otherwise, you could save the sample on disk and load it into your PC/Mac, and edit it with a wave editor program.
