I was told to connect the MIDI in/out of MOTIF into the first set of MIDI ports on the MPC2000XL... and to keep the second set of ports alone on the MPC and to connect that to my MAC for my Pro-Tools MIDI Sync...etc.
In Audio MIDI Setup, I created the 2nd port in the MPC icon (since when you create a device there is one port by default) and now I CANT DRAG THE CABLES IN AUDIO MIDI SETUP FROM THE MOTIF KEYBOARD TO THE MPC.
WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
