saving after sample?

when i get my sample and add it into an already existing drum program i then cant save that whole program onto a disk b/c the sample is to large(but not very long). is there anyway to make the file size smaller, if now what do yall do about it if you have to save onto a floppy?

Try to convert the sample from 44.100 Hz to 22.050 Hz, and you will save have the space. You will also loose some hi end, but sometimes it even sounds better.

did you delete before and after soft start and end? or is it trim on the 2000?

when my samples are too big I convert them to mono. As long as your sound doesn't pan, this shouldn't be a problem. Convert it and you have 2 choices (L,R) to keep as a sample, and they'll be half the size of the original.

Or you could just use more than one floppy, which I also have done.
