I always go out on gigs or bring my mpc in different studios, and i always unplug the scsi cable connecting the zip drive to the mpc, But i'm always careful in doing so. I always make sure everything is turned off, and I make sure the pins aren't bent in the process.

I just want to know,
Is there's a wear and tear factor on the scsi port?
Also, with my habbit of unplugging, should i expect the scsi fuse to blow/ die in the near future?

Thanks

Sounds like you already know what to do and be careful of.
You hit the main 2 points... turn the power off when plugging/unplugging the SCSI connector and being careful not to bend the pins when plugging/unplugging.
