Saving Programmes and Sequences

Before I shut down the mpc I:

Save all sequences and songs (top left)
then...
Select All programs and sounds

Can I label the saved files (e.g 'beat 1') - the programme names are confusing me once I go to load them back in.

any advice on saving? :

my advice is to be really really careful using aps and all files. when you load an aps it loads all the sequences back into the same slot they were in before. ie if they were 2-6 thats where it loads them. now if you have a new unsaved beat in sequence 3 and you load last nights aps it overwrites your new unsaved beat and you lose it forever. i have had that happen many times. i always just save my sequences as i get something i like (using save sequence on the save screen) you can name sequences by highlight the sequence name at the top left of the main screen and hitting open window. 'type' a name using the pads and hit enter to confirm the new name. you can name programs and samples the same way. songs too. just highlight the default name and hit open window.
