you can't go wrong with a midi patchbay. Its better than daisy chaining your devices.

in case you end up having loads of midi devices that is. u might want to save space and get virtual synths like what i have done.

Balance your $$$$ better.

-you are willing to go witha G5 instead of a G4
-you are willing to go with a MPC4000 instead of a MPC2000

but you want to use a FireFace :?

The Fireface is ok but it kinda like buying cheap tires for a real car.

I would look for a better interface, so that my investment could deliver more balanced results.

You may want to look into some real pres, maybe a Avalon U5 or a SP737.

just get a 4000 and an s950. you only need one set of pads. and if you wanna cut it tight maybe an mpd-16. for use with the exs24 and trigger the s950 through logic. if you want the mpc60 sound. the g5 running logic will cater for the rest. its a powerful program.

word. yo i´m ready to upgrade my system.

right now i´m ghettoing midi by exporting 2 bar submixes from ProTools to the NNXT in Reason, tracking MIDI , then dumping AIFs back to ProTools.

im thinkin g5, logic, motu, mpc 3000.
mackie powered speakers , a mad mic, and an alembic of cachaça

plus i was messin with the Triton again today. that sh*zzle is dope
