Is it possible to remove EVERY SINGLE feature of a "Studio Plus" model from an MPC2000XL, and transfer it to a completely new unit? Or are there some options/boards that just cannot be removed? If anything, I'll definitely be able to remove at least the 8-outs/digital in-out & reverb fx card right?

Don't ask why... I have the beige XL "Studio Plus" with floppy, and I want it all on a blue XL with zip. And YES, I'm willing to do ALL THIS just to have the blue one. Sorry if that bothers anyone, but that's just me.

why dont u just buy an intenal zip? goto www.mpc2000xl.com for install instructions. U can transfer the outs and the fx and ram, but i wouldnt bother. Casue then u gotta sell it, ship it, and buy a new one which is an awful large headache for a $40 zipdrive.

You could put a zip in the tan one, and then just switch the blue casing for the tan one.

yes it's possible, but I wouldn't do it. I would follow what binger0 and itchy said.

why dont you stop worrying about looks and worry about sounds. just look for storage options to expand your already loaded mpc.
