Can i use a standard rca cable or do i need a proper digital cable. for the spdif output from mpc > pc.

I've tried it both ways.....TECHNICALLY....a regular RCA cable will sort of work, but you'll introduce a lot of errors into the data stream. Better off buying a real SPDIF cable instead. In the mean time, you can use an RCA, just realize you'll not have the same quality, or no connection at all, depending on the quality of the cable...
