Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi All :D

Just wanted to say the info you guys put on this site stop me from having a high post count, thanks for that :-)

I just had two requests from some experience guys here. I'm about to buy an MPC 2000xl, and I wanted to know how exactly to hook up my keyboard to it AND use both of them to sequence into Cubase/Pro Tools. I just bought an Emu1212m with a firewire port if that helps.

And I also wanted to know if someone can show a quick little diagram of an MPC connected to a mixer thats connected to a computer, so I can get an on screen look at the mixer knobs and volumes. Thanks a lot to who can help me.

In short. A diagram of the connection of an MPC to a computer Emu1212m Soundcard with Firewire port with keyboard connection and the connection of a mixer to the computer. Thanks.

The Protools tutorial videos I sold you will show you and guide you with all that stuff. If you got a protools interface you really dont need the emu1212. Whats your current setup ???

oh I have no REAL current setup, just a Radium 61 key connected to my comp via USB and using Cubase and Reason to make beats, but I'm getting an MPC really soon.

You got no idea how much that helped me man, thx. I had a few questions tho.

I got a Emu1212m, the same way u got ya setup plugged into that (mixer, monitors) can i plug them into that?

And what kind of mixer is that?

Oh and one more thing, I have no sound modules, i know the MPC samples that are played are kinda short. What if i want to play a synth throughout a sequence, do i just need a sound module then? or should I just invest in a keyboard that comes with sounds?
