Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By MaZe Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:04 pm
I am not sure if anyone posted this before but using this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 68886&rd=1

should allow one to utilize many of the other forms of flash media through their microtech 47. I for one have not tested it and I am not saying that it wont blow up your mpc, but, I very much doubt it would. Flash based memory is usually very hastle free.

This is beneficial for those with MS disks especially.

There is a whole thread dedicated to this sort ofthing, please use the search also. Post up your link here in that thread so there is ONE place for all the card reader info to go you know what I'm saying..

I use the search extensively, and I wont go into how the search query language structure and resutls display needs to be improved, but I will say, that if a thread that concerned all of this already was sticky and prominent then you wouldnt have to search for a buried thread everytime you wanted to post something. The card reader and card expansion options are obviously very important topics, to avoid getting multiple posts then a sticky would probably get rid of all that.

My 2 pennies.

Bravo I'll take my pennies back without a problem my man, and trust me I know how to use the search with no problem. As someone who has done SEO, SEM and with a degree in MIS, I can definitely use the search. My point about the sticky is still vaild. But thanks for the pennies back.

I'll be sure to consider the chastizing one receives when trying to help the next time around.

"My point about the sticky is still vaild."

Prolly not. Everyone considers "their" posts to be important and it is impossible to properly gauge what topics would be most important to warrant cluttering the top of the forums with stickies. In addition to this, it has already been demonstrated that stickies are pretty close to useless in these forums after browsing a few of them and noting the blatant disregard to the very stickies already listed.

Lastly, because you may not like the results or the format of the search engine is no excuse to disregard it's usage. If you know how to use it and follow the forum suggestions then you should have posted in the relevent topic. The new post in the old topic would have moved it to the top and is the suggestion that Lampdog alluded too.

seems a waste to get a pcmica card reader then the adaptor card. when you can just get a reader that supports all 7 formats outright.

Kinda hard to find a reader FOR THE MPC that can read 7 different kinds.

7 DIFFERENT KINDS!!???? u cant be serious. MOST DESKTOP PC'S dont even have 7 DIFFERENT CARD SLOTS!!! :o

So what makes u think it's a sinch to find an old azz, internal card reader the can read 7 DIFFERENT CARDZ!!!???

HA!! I LAUGH AT U!! :P

You're right my cardreader reads but 6 different card types, the only type it can't read is the pcmcia. It's as speedy as a zip drive noiseless and no wear on moving parts and no C.O.D. Keep laughing ... I stand corrected.

i have to agree with maze and have said this over and over on here. for a newcomer, the search is so vague as to be practically useless. it's filtering is abysmal and it is buggy also. compare it to some other forums and you'll see a hUGE difference.

for my card reader enquiry i pestered a few people, got some help on the pm, did my own research and finally managed to work it all out, was a bit painful though.

with the amount of interest in this i would fully support a sticky that amalgamates the scsi and atapi/ide install info

fyi i have 3 options on the atapi reader i use which is more the enough, i would have been happy with one!

ok flame away, i'm just trying to get through life without completely flipping my wig on an hourly basis but i've drunk so much coffee that this is unlikely

"In addition to this, it has already been demonstrated that stickies are pretty close to useless in these forums after browsing a few of them and noting the blatant disregard to the very stickies already listed. "

If stickies are blatantly disregarded, the flawed search wont be disregarded?

"Lastly, because you may not like the results or the format of the search engine is no excuse to disregard it's usage. "

My second post first five words "I use the search extensively"

"seems a waste to get a pcmica card reader then the adaptor card. when you can just get a reader that supports all 7 formats outright."

My first post qualified the need of this card "should allow one to utilize many of the other forms of flash media through their microtech 47"

"i have to agree with maze and have said this over and over on here. for a newcomer, the search is so vague as to be practically useless. it's filtering is abysmal and it is buggy also. compare it to some other forums and you'll see a hUGE difference. "

Thank you, but I digress.

Cmon fellas no need for flames all the time. I know making basslines, and perfecting a drum pattern can be frustrating, but please, leave that in the studio and bring a smile to the forums.
