(This coralates to the "Song mode help" thread)

Is it possible to use your drum pads to mute tracks for specific sequences while in song mode? (NOT seq. mode)

Or do you have to mute tracks prior to the insertion of a sequence into song mode?

Help is appreciated!

good question, im not sure, but if you see my last reply on the other thread, you can convert your song to a sequence, then you can use the track mute window for sure.

Okay, so in that case, say i finished arranging my song, and i have converted it to a sequence. How will that affect the original tracks? Will they still be organized as they were originally? Or will the new sequence become all 1 track?

I think i may have figurd it out.

In the "convert track to seq." screen, there is a field titled 'Track Status:'

If i set this to 'Referenced to 1st seq;" it should retain the track data from said sequence, correct?

(I would test all this out, but i'm at work, and my MPC is obviously at home)

i am at work too, i think you should be able to manage to take a song made up of sequences 1-9 and convert that to sequence 10. if nothing else just making sure the sequences were saved before converting would keep you safe.
