Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just got my 8-outs and I'm a bit confused even after extensive searching. When tracking with the stereo outs (main) I can control the volume using the main volume knob. With the 8 outs I can only use the MPC internal mixer, right?

Also, if I want to use the 8 outs and the main outs together (should I even???), how can I make the volume levels match 100%?

Correct

You shouldn't need to, but if you do you'd have to match it up by ear or buy the levels on your mixer.

I'm running the 8 outs directly into my soundcard.

Anyway, thanks for the answers.

since we're talking about this....

someone please give me recommended setups for the following:
-mpc 2000xl with 8 outs
-pro tools (m box)
-proteus 2000 (sound module)
-behringer eurorack mx 2004A (mixer)

how do you guys recommend i set this up. especially with the 8 outs from the mpc and at least 2 coming out of the proteus. yet....the mbox only has how many ins?

Outs to line In's on mixer - Shame about the Mbox tho. With only 2 and no midi interface, its makes tracking a slow process
