another midi question

ok, i know midi doesnt carry audio but, if i am using a triton wouldnt it play the audio (program/combi) i am sending to the MPC?....since it is a digital instrument wouldnt the didital signal consist of audio also?
im confused

If it were going from the headphones or another out into the mpc it would read it as digital.Midi data is sent through midi cables.
