Can't see the picture but the slots are probably for the memory.

I'm having problems posting pictures. When you open up the panel from the bottom and hold it upside down , it's a blacl bezel kinda like a processor holder on a computer and just to the left is a blue bezel for an electronic chip. I already used up the slots for the memory.

one might be flash memory option, not sure what the effect card looks like, does it work? If so, don't worry.

I got a laugh from the pic title, MPC GUTS!!!

The blue bezel says "boot rom"?? underneath on the circuit board. But the black bezel in the right corner? Yeah, it works so far but I wanted to address any issues with the seller before long. And the MPC boots as soon as I power it on. Thanks again.

Check the Manual, in the back there will be a diagram of what goes where.
This should maybe help you out.

There should be empty slots on the board for flash rom and for the SMPTE chip. If the MPC boots up, don't worry about the empty slots.

thx all, one says "select boot rom" below the blue one and the other I have no idea. It boots up and the memory is being read properly so THX ALL.

That slot is for a service part (used by repair centers only).

"You are missing the mass conducer piece for the flux capacitor!!! "

You know that that likely the part that gives the MPC3000/60 that special swing (according to MPC3000/60 owners). Akai Pro just left it out of the MPC2k series.
