Can You Apply 2 Effects To The Same Sample, At The Same Time

In The Same track???? What im saying is.....

If im in track 1, i have a sample set to play at 1.0.00, the tuning is set to '+32'. But then i want to add a decay to the sample. I scroll to decay, change the decay, then go to the main screen. But when the sample plays in the sequence, the decay works as i set it, but the tuning is set back to '0'. Can i apply a decay AND tuning, on the same sample, at the same time, in the same track??? Thanks in advance. Im sorry if i confused you, im a little tired.

The two parameters are unrelated, so you can add an effect setting to a sample without it affecting the tuning of the sample. How are you tuning it - within Step Edit, in Program Params, or in the Sample Edit screen?

make sure you are tuning the right pad.......that should not change while you are working

I get what your saying. But what if the two parameters i want to change are decay and filter?? Would i be able to do THAT on the same track, same note, same etc.?

i think you would be better off assigning the sample to more than one pad and then have that one sample the way you want it and the second pad the way you want it........

Are you aksing about using the NV slider twice in the same track on the same sample?

Sorry, I misunderstood. No, you cant change two of the variation slider parameters on one note. Only one can be set.

Assign the sample to 2 difft pads, go to your program menu and go to PARAMS. Hit one of the pads the sample is assigned to, and adjust the decay and tuning and filter and resonance as you want. Hit the other pad the sample is assigned to and adjust at will. Assign as many pads of these as you need to get all the diff't variations you need.

You can't use the Variation slider but all the effects (without the sliding action) will be available except velocity, that you control by how hard you hit the pad.

Also, the PARAMS effects work seperately from anything assigned with the slider/step menu, so you can really set some serious attack and decay by setting the pad to 100 then maxing the step/slider option in conjunction with it.
