No you don't need nothing to have the MPC read from the Zip drive. What version MPC do you have? 2000, 2Xl, 3000, 4000, etc?
If it's the 2000 make sure your junk is SCSI with the 25 pin connection or your junk will get retarded son. If it's the 2XL make sure it's the SCSI 50 pin connection.
When you connect the SCSI to the back of your MPC, load your system up from the floppy or Flash Rom which eva one you have. Then hit Shift/Disk. Instead of telling the MPC to load from the Floppy scroll down and switch to the SCSI drive and you'll be all straight. Same thing goes with saving.
