SMDI transfers to 2K XL

Does anyone have any experience transrfering samples from a computer to the MPC via SCSI? I'd like to know what software you use for this and whether you can assign sounds to pads etc. through the software.

I'm using a G3 Mac.

I might be wrong here, but I don't believe that you can transfer sounds to the MPC via the SCSI cable. However, the XL can read WAV files. So why not get a Zip drive and exchange them from your computer to your XL?

use sound forge six. mpc doesnt communicate with pc over scsi.

I'm a Mac user (for music anyway) does anyone use any Mac 'ware to do SMDI's to the XL? Just out of interest, can the other MPCs accept SMDI transfers? I know the S-series sampler can.

P.S. So how many of you just sample in via the inputs and edit you samples on that little ol screen?
