I need help! My MPC2000Xl Won't boot on it's on

I tried to update the software and something awful happened. when I turn the unit on now it always ask me for the MPC2kXL .bin disk. How can I get the unit to automatically boot the way it use too?

by first booting it by inserting a boot disk and afterwards installing the os.

Please forgive my ignorance. I am still confused, I downloaded the OS from akaipro.com. I load it from the floppy when prompted. Now how do I get the software onto the OS flash-Rom so the unit boots without the floppy?

Place MPC2KXL.SYS on the floppy.

Load the file just like you would a sample.
